This year, we received a total of 173 submissions from 20 countries, further expanding the reach of our contest. We thank each and every one for sharing their works.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every composer who shared their work with us. Competitions in the arts can be challenging, and given the exceptionally high level of submissions this year, we faced some truly difficult decisions.
To ensure a fair and equitable process, all entries were anonymized, reviewed over the course of an entire month, and evaluated solely on the basis of their artistic merit. While some difficult choices had to be made, our panelists are proud to announce the following five winners and their compositions:
Nicholas Bentz
Oxbow 1
Che Buford
i don't see stars where i'm from
Francisco Javier González Compeán
Three Dances
Kian Ravaei
Romance (After Layla and Majnun)
Amirhossein Zeinali
Elegy
Additionally, we are pleased to award this year’s $750 Commission Prize to Che Buford.
Once more, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone for their effort, creativity, and contributions. The quality of this year’s submissions was truly inspiring, and it has been a privilege to review them.
